North Jutland is represented in the new “Alliance for Green Offshore Energi”, the objective of which is to create a united forum at national level where views can be exchanged and updated at the highest professional and technical level within green offshore energy, including wind turbines. The main objective is for Denmark to hold and maintain the position of technological leading nation in the field at all times.
The alliance was created in February 2010 by the Southern Denmark Region. Growth, employment and export are main topics. The operators work together to find overall solutions that are suitable for export.
The work involves combining the projects of the different members in one thought process. Joint launch and development of the projects should also take place more often than in the past, to ensure the most EU support possible.
The initiative and the broadest representation in the alliance comes so far from the Southern Denmark Region, but North Jutland operators in wind energy and the Hub North network look forward to the new green national alliance working for the entire country and bringing EU funding home to North Jutland.
